Why Lewd Roleplay is damaging

Hello my children. You may have seen me on Twitter. I am Lady Emmie of the Anti lewd Department here to teach people some valuable lessons. I want to help people open their eyes on why lewd roleplay is damaging to everyone involved. I want to open peoples eyes and try to make Twitter a safer place.

I started Twitter roleplay as a means to avoid the real world. My father was a drug addict and my mother would threaten to kill me with a butcher knife all the time. I used to roleplay around 2013 until 2019. I ended up finding some very good friends during that time. I even met this roleplayer whom I shall call Dan.

Dan told me about his horrid life. His sister would sexually abuse him all the time when he was a child and he ended up horrified of sexualization of minors due to it. He kept telling me how it was dangerous for him to roleplay but he kept doing it. Dan told me all about possible lewd accounts that may try to follow him.

One day, though would change everything forever. Dan ended up getting followed by a lewd account of Sam Manson from Danny Phantom who tried to force him to do lewd roleplays on his account. This opened up a lot of traumatizing wounds from Dan as he eventually tried to kill himself to end the PTSD. This was when I stopped doing roleplay as I realized just how damaging lewd roleplay is.

After I stopped roleplaying after Dan nearly killed himself, I decided to investigate lewd roleplay more. Every time I looked in the tag, I kept being horrified at what I saw. Underage characters being sexualized, scat, guro, and a lot more disturbing fetishes that are problematic. I ended up interviewing a few roleplayers, especially minors and they all said the same thing: These lewd accounts have been making them feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Every time I see someone roleplaying an underage character or an animal in lewd roleplay, they are indirectly promoting and normalizing pedophilia and bestiality respectively. Most people who were sexualizing lewd characters would usually end up sending red flags that they would assault someone in the future. Minors in roleplay are feeling scared to even be on the site because this behavior is normalizing sexualization of people their age. They're scared that they may turn into victims of assault crimes. It starts off small with lewd roleplay and eventually it'll turn into actual assault.

There is hope, though. I decided to create @AntiLewdRPNun to spread awareness of how damaging lewd roleplay is. I know that while I may be one Nun, this movement will grow big and Twitter will realize just how damaging lewd roleplay is. I know that when the time comes, people will look back and see I am doing this for a good cause: To protect the innocent and make Twitter roleplay a clean, safer, and less problematic place. Roleplay is meant for everyone and lewd twitter drives people away or makes them remember their trauma. Together we can overcome this and make Twitter clean.

The best changes usually start off with one person. It eventually becomes a movement and we can make a difference. Remember that. - Lady Emmie
